About The United Methodist Village, Godfrey, IL
Owned by United Methodist Retirement Homes, Inc., United Methodist Village (UMV) (The Village) is a 120-acre campus located in Godfrey, Illinois. Opened in late 1997, the community features 44 duplex Patio Homes referred to as Villas, as well as 64 Independent Living apartments, known as the Wiseman-Pollock Residence. There are also 44 Assisted Living apartments on campus known as Weston Terrace. A portion of the Assisted Living apartments accommodates residents with some mild confusion issues. Seven single-family private residences are also on the UMV property. There are 59 additional apartments available on the campus known as the McKendree Apartments. The apartments are equally as attractive and well equipped as those in the Wiseman-Pollock building. 24 of the McKendree apartments sell at a “market rate” without personal assistance services. Another 35 of the McKendree apartments are offered at subsidized rates through tax credit arrangements. Residents have complete access to campus amenities and activities and may purchase personal assistance services such as housekeeping, meals, or transportation a la carte. Effective 2005, UMV is managing McKendree and receiving revenue based on occupancy. The Village community features spacious grounds, a casually elegant décor, with a beautiful chapel, beauty/barber shop, well-appointed common areas and a private dining room. The villas, apartments and assisted living suites are available on a monthly rental basis. The first month’s rent is collected in advance of a move-in along with a security deposit equal to the first month’s rent. No entrance fee or community fee is required. There is no lease attached to the residency agreement and no penalties are charged for move-outs with 90 days advance notice.
