About The UNPavement Project
The UNPavment is a nonprofit organization that is on a mission to help disabled people get off the pavement and into nature using off-road handcycles (aka, adaptive mountain bikes). Adaptive mountain bikes and trails have long existed for disabled people to access wild spaces, but—until now—no information was available to indicate whether a particular trail would be safe for a disabled rider. The UNPavement is filling that gap by documenting and rating existing trails and assisting in trail planning and renovation so that disabled people know where they can safely "hike".
