The Urban Eyes personal safety vest is light weight, reflective and consists of two cameras, one on the front and one on the back. Your safety is paramount, and while wearing the Urban eyes vest does not make you invincible, what it does do is act as a visible deterrent. It can been seen from a distance letting people know that you are recording the route in front of you and behind you, leaving you to focus on your run, whilst urban eyes watches your back. We protect our houses, our cars and everything around us, so why not ourselves. Urban eyes was founded during the first lockdown of 2020, in Hampshire. Whilst working from home, my daughter passed by to say there were reports of women being followed while out running in the local area. It would put her off taking her normal running route, as she would not feel safe to do so on her own. Later on that evening I thought there must be some form of wearable cameras that I could buy, that she could wear while out running. Something that would act as a deterrent to any would be stalker? My first thought was the internet, but on this occasion I could find nothing that was suitable. That night I had an interrupted nights sleep worrying about my daughters, with various scenarios playing through my mind.
