About The Ventures Lab by Challenges Group

We work with Scottish impact ventures that have the potential to make a difference across Scotland or internationally. Our focus is on enterprises tackling real-world challenges, whether social, environmental or economic. We help them build for long-term success, offering guidance on business models, funding, leadership and growth strategies. The Ventures Lab has been designed alongside The Challenges Group and draws upon their 26 years of experience in helping enterprises perform better so they can solve global challenges. There are three parts to our support pathway. 1. Impact Venture Discovery - where founders explore and validate their ideas 2. Impact Venture Builder - where ventures develop their model, set up the operational side of their business, plan for growth and become investment ready. 3. Impact Venture Growth - where ventures receive pooled business support services post investment. Suitable ventures can join at any point in the pathway. We work closely with each one to understand their needs and ensure they have solid foundations in place. We welcome all business entities, as long as the mission and vision are impact-focused. Ventures must be based in Scotland. The programme is flexible and long-term, we can support ventures for up to ten years. Founders reach us directly or through trusted partners. We work alongside organisations across the ecosystem to identify ventures with potential and provide the tailored support they need to thrive.
