About The Victoria Project
The Victoria Project (TVP) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to make holistic maternity care, specifically access to out-of-hospital births, a truly viable option for women from all backgrounds in the U.S. In the last three years, we've provided over $3.5M in grant funding and support to over 300 mothers to access holistic maternity care services. The Victoria Project (TVP) was launched in September 2020 by three co-founders Janelle Green, Deja Rabb, and Haize Hawke. Collectively, the co-founders bring decades of clinical, professional, and personal experience to our organization. The three women founded TVP in an effort to make holistic maternity care, specifically access to midwifery-led out of hospital birth, a true choice for families in California and beyond. In 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic, interest and demand for specialized, holistic maternity care outside of the hospital system increased exponentially. This demand continues to grow, and we are inspired and motivated to meet it. Our vision is to bring safety, dignity, empowerment and community to mothers in America. We exist because unfortunately, maternity care has not been such for many women, and we are motivated and deeply committed to changing this. Since our inception, we are so proud to have supported over 300 mothers by providing them with grant funding to access holistic maternity care services from pregnancy to birth to post-partum in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura, California counties. "There are really not enough words to express our gratitude to The Victoria Project for making holistic care possible during our pregnancy and the birth of our son. Receiving funding has allowed us to cultivate a sacred community for our new family where we were able to learn, grow and thrive. The practitioners we work with are remarkable and have cared for us so deeply, it has made all the difference in our journey to parenthood".
