About the weekly rant
The Weekly Rant is a community driven media collective centred around storytelling as a form of resistance. We strive to create a safe space for queer and BIPOC folks to create, learn, be empowered, access personal and professional growth opportunities and build community. Over the past two years, we've heard countless stories of discrimination and ableism from queer, BIPOC, and disabled youth, resulting in them leaving predominantly white institutions as they became too unwell to continue. Everyone deserves a livelihood and the ability to learn create in non-oppressive environments and we strive to create those spaces. We produce our own content, solicit submissions from the general public to facilitate telling their stories, and run campaigns for companies, organizations, and governments.
