About The Wellbeing Tortoise
The Wellbeing Tortoise is a consultancy and training provider that focuses on an inclusive, accessible, and holistic approach to mental health, wellbeing, and disability in the workplace. After becoming disabled following a ski accident and corresponding brain injury, Director Jen Rooney became passionate about making mental health and disability inclusion a priority for organisations and helping individuals acquire skills and tools to support themselves. The Wellbeing Tortoise was born out of Jen's lived experience of disability, her mental health problems, ongoing journey of recovery, and her desire to spark change in the workplace. We know that no two persons experiences of mental health and disability will be the same due to differences of identity, culture, background and experiences and therefore always strive to take an intersectional approach. The Wellbeing Tortoise has consulted for and delivered training to a diverse group of clients from small non-profits like Chance UK and Breaking Barriers to large public and private sector organisations including Deloitte UK and The Cabinet Office.
