Each year, The Whiting presents events in our Spotlight Series, Rhythms of the World Series and the Jazz & Blues Series which includes: The Spotlight Series: World-class entertainers and shows like Martin Short, Tracy Byrd, Bill Cosby, Pat Benatar, Hairspray, The Temptations, STOMP, Margaret Cho, Jeff Daniels and Itzhak Perlman. Jazz & Blues Series: Legendary and up-and-coming artists like Etta James, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, North Mississippi Allstars, Henry Butler, Joe Bonamassa and B. B. King. Rhythms of the World Series: Featuring world music and dance from entertainers like Cedric Watson, Kevin Locke, Eileen Ivers, Vagabond Opera and Harmonia. Special Events: The Whiting's 2,043 seat theater hosts the Flint Symphony Orchestra, Annual Holiday Pops, New York's Joffrey Midwest Workshop, Flint Youth Theatre's Learning Through Theatre Series, and many other community graduations, recitals and other events. The Whiting also hosts special events with popular performers like Jerry Seinfeld and David Copperfield.
