Mission The Whole Person connects people with disabilities to the resources they need by supporting independent choice and advocating for positive change in the community. Vision Statement The Whole Person envisions a fully accessible community where opportunities and choices are not limited by disability. Description The Whole Person is a Center for Independent Living Founded in 1978. We are a private, non-residential, nonprofit corporation providing a full range of community-based services for people with disabilities in the Kansas City Metro Area. Accreditation 2017-2020: The Whole Person, Inc., has been accredited by CARF International for a period of three years. CARF shared with us, "This achievement is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of practice excellence. Your organization should take pride in achieving this high level of accreditation."
