About The Work Place / Carlson & Company
In 2008, The Work Place opened in Grande Prairie to offer employment-related services to both job seekers and employers. Our commitment to high quality standards, a results-oriented approach with a strong emphasis on excellence in customer service is the reason so many job seekers have successfully found employment using the services of The Work Place. Transitions to Employment Services (TES) TES offers job search, workplace and occupation-related skills to help unemployed individuals find work. Components include employment placement and supports, and job matching. The program is primarily designed for Albertans with Employment Insurance involvement in the past 5 years. Career and Employment Services Individualized career and job search services, support and guidance. Services include assisting individuals develop or refine job search skills, make connections to employers and job maintenance support. Employer Services Job postings, candidate resume collection and/or screening for specific job vacancies, referrals based on employer’s criteria and an office/training room to conduct job interviews and/or hold job fairs. The Province of Alberta is working in partnership with the Government of Canada to provide employment support programs and services.
