About Thea Bowman Center
The Thea Bowman Center is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the Mt. Pleasant community of Cleveland through food support, children’s programs, and adult education. Since 1966, the center has been a mainstay of the community where adults can come to further their education, kids have a safe place to learn and grow, and anyone can receive a warm nutritious meal. Specifically, we offer a food pantry and hot meals on Saturdays; adult GED and computer classes; after school and Saturday children’s learning activities and a Summer Youth Camp; and emergency help to individuals by appointment. We are a 501(c)(3) organization.
