While there are great ‘fact checking’ organizations that work to correct the record like HonestReporting, CAMERA, and MEMRI, there is no English-based News & Opinion organization solely committed to showing the true face of Israel, the good, bad, and the ugly, while actively challenging the falsehoods that appear daily in mainstream media. TheJudean strives to be that organization. The challenges faced are numerous. From censorship on Social Media for actively disputing misinformation from certain notorious politicians and ‘community activists’ to combating attacks from groups like IfNotNow and Jewish Voices for Peace which portray themselves as representing Judaism but instead work to undermine the one thing Jews have prayed for during their 1,873-year diaspora. With so much disinformation & worse, misinformation about Israel, TheJudean's mission is to provide truth and combat falsehoods about the only democracy in the Middle East where Jews, Muslims & Christians are free to live, protest & speak their minds. Every day, ‘journalists,’ editorialists, news agencies, and public figures falsely report about what is happening or what has happened in Israel. From The New York Times to CNN, from the halls of Congress to Social Media feeds of countless public figures, Israel has been under attack. United States representatives like Ilhan Omar, Corey Bush, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortes, and Rashida Tlaib frequently use terms like ‘apartheid state’ to describe the one Jewish state in the world and actively campaign & organize to undermine it. Accusations that the State of Israel is committing 'genocide' are patently false yet too many people rely on this misinformation to inform their opinions about Israel. The driving force for TheJudean is to provide accurate reporting and dispel falsehoods while calling out those who work to undermine the Middle Eastern country.
