About Thelma Biotel
Thelma Biotel AS i a company located in Trondheim, the technology capital of Norway. We develop and produce acoustic telemetry solutions and wireless sensor systems for biological research and various other underwater monitoring tasks. Our technology is based on over 30 years of experience and development in close relationships with the university NTNU and research group SINTEF. Our core competence is ultra-low power electronics and acoustic communication. The main market is fisheries science and ecology research, where our acoustic telemetry systems are used to obtain records of fish movements and behavior. It can be done actively, in real-time, or passively, using a network of listening stations.
