About theMovement Charity
theMovement is a London based charity that exists to restore every woman's right to exercise. We partner with different charities to provide exercise opportunities for women with experience of multiple disadvantages, such as experience of domestic violence, adverse mental health and homelessness. We recruit fitness professionals to volunteer for an hour a week in these charities, providing all volunteers with training on a trauma informed approach to exercise. As part of our commitment to breaking down barriers to exercise, we have developed and deliver a one day CIMSPA accredited course for fitness professionals: A Trauma Informed Approach to Exercise Provision. We offer this training for fitness professionals in person and online, as well as private bookings for organisations looking to train their teams.
