About TheMusaEffect
In 2023, I was abruptly made redundant from a corporate role and sunk into a depression. I experienced bouts of anxiety and the shock of having the recurring experience led me into what could have been a very dark time. After interviewing with major corporates with no success, I begun to doubt my abilities and my health started to take a nosedive. After some time, I decided to start going on short walks to help break up my monotonous days of applying for hundreds of jobs with no success. From there I started to do push-ups and squats at home, then I started attending classes at my local gym because put simply I just didn’t have the motivation at that time to do what I would usually do (hit a strength and cardio session back-to-back). With time I worked my way back up into my strength and cardio sessions (with occasional dips but an overall consistency I was pleased with). As a person who was always active, I was surprised by how emotionally I reacted to this experience. What I hadn't considered were the deeper issues that led up to that inflexion point (my fear from previous roles, the loss of a family member, etc). Fitness was my saving grace; it cured me during a time of darkness. Getting physically fit led to me feeling mentally able to tackle the challenges of life again. So, after months of training myself, I decided to get certified as a Personal Trainer and spent months studying towards the qualifications. After getting qualified, I decided to coach H.I.I.T (high intensity) bootcamp sessions in London while building out my Fitness Business [TheMusaEffect]. Today, I am able to say I was able to take a situation that was meant to take me down and transmute it into something that benefited me and the numerous amounts of people who have benefited from my bootcamps, personal training sessions, workout plans, home workouts, etc. So, if anyone is looking to improve their health or looking to book a fun team-based HIIT session.
