About Thermea Spa Village

Just over 20 years ago, Martin Paquette, founder of the Spas Villages, experienced the intensity of a sauna, a powerful rush of adrenalin after a cold plunge, and the bliss of regained balance in a moment of rest. From this moment came a wish: to share this experience with as many people as possible. And so, at the end of a dirt road in Quebec’s Outaouais region, the first Spa Village slowly took shape. In 2005, our community of Artisans, passionate about sweat culture, welcomed the very first guests to Nordik Spa Village Chelsea. Today, this haven of well-being, with its focus on a relaxing social experience, is the largest spa in North America. Building on the success of this first Village, Thermea Spa Village Winnipeg opened its doors in 2015, making it the first Nordic spa in the Canadian Prairies with the widest selection of wellness experiences for body and mind. In 2022, it’s the turn of Thermea Spa Village Whitby to help people give life a moment’s rest in the Greater Toronto Area.
