About Thermulon

Thermulon’s process foregoes the current conditions that make aerogels difficult to manufacture. The result is rapid production of the world’s most insulating material.Our aerogels come in powders and granules. This versatility unlocks a variety of applications in insulating batts, blankets, panels and other products. Our partners are radical innovators in construction and EV battery technology whose products benefit from aerogels’ super-insulating properties, good fire performance and low density. Thermulon-based products can reach thermal conductivity of λ~20mW/mK: equivalent to plastics-based products. Unlike petroleum-derived insulation, silica-based aerogels have an inorganic material backbone and can achieve a fire-rating suitable for use in high-risk settings (limited combustibility).
