About THIM - De Internationale Hogeschool
THIM University of Applied Sciences, founded in 1974, has fifty years of experience in educating physiotherapists. Today, THIM is a modern institute with multiple locations. It is the only private university in the Netherlands offering a Bachelor’s programme in physiotherapy in full-time and in part-time. The Bachelor’s programmes have been recognised by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science for over forty-five years and are fully accredited. THIM is owned and operated by the Van der Laan family. The whole family, currently led by Mr. Thim van der Laan, put their heart and soul into professionalising the field of physiotherapy. Together they have expanded the programme into one of the largest physiotherapy programmes in Europe. Since 1990 THIM University of Applied Sciences has a branch in Switzerland, which caters mainly to Swiss and Austrian students. We also have a partnership with multiple German schools, with whom we offer a unique pre-Bachelor’s and Bachelor’s programme to German students. Throughout the years, the core principles have remained unchanged. THIM offers a high quality educational programme and a personal approach. THIM’s mission is to graduate exceptional health care professionals, who embrace the pursuit of knowledge, look beyond disciplinary boundaries and dare to innovate. Our goal is to instil the professional confidence and entrepreneurial spirit needed to thrive in the evolving world of health care.
