Located in Delafield, WI, Thin Line Psychological Services has been providing psychological consultation for municipal departments and public safety agencies for over 30 years. As owner of the firm, Dr. Craig D. Childs has worked closely with police, fire, and sheriff's departments to develop an understanding and appreciation for the unique stressors faced in the line of duty. Thin Line Psychological Services specializes in pre-employment psychological evaluations, fitness for duty evaluations, promotion/leadership evaluations, and counseling services for public safety agencies and employees. Our evaluations comply with the standards set forth by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). In addition to providing comprehensive psychological evaluations and counseling services, Thin Line Psychological Services provides critical incident stress debriefing, investigation support and hostage negotiation assistance. In addition to his work with public safety agencies, Dr. Childs also provide evaluations for agencies that place individuals into positions where civilian, sworn and DOD employees handle sensitive and/or confidential information, or have assignments involving weapons or complex machinery and systems. Evaluations have been conducted for jobs ranging from various director positions (nursing, residential care facilities, etc.) to sales managers for financial institutions and municipal employees such as building officials.
