About Think the World Differently

Think the World Differently is an emerging nonprofit organization based in Vancouver that is leading ground-up systems change in the clothing industry through behavior change initiatives focused on reducing overconsumption. The global clothing industry is one of the most harmful industries in the world. From water pollution and greenhouse gas emissions to deforestation and waste production, the clothing industry is directly implicated in climate change and the decimation of the biosphere. Although the industry is changing, the majority of this change does not address overconsumption. Think the World Differently recognizes that the environmental and social issues within the clothing industry are systemic, and that the most effective way of altering a system is to shift the worldview that shapes a system. To reduce the overconsumption of clothing and fashion goods we must address the values and beliefs that prioritize profit over people and the planet. We must Think the World Differently.
