About Thinking Practice

Thinking Practice exists to help the arts, cultural and other sectors create a fairer and more beautiful world by increasing impact and building resilience through creative approaches that combine thinking (analysis and strategy) with practice (doing and learning). Thinking Practice is led by Mark Robinson, an accomplished and inventive leader with an international reputation within the cultural sector. Bringing a unique blend of creative, leadership and strategy experience from 20 years as a writer, editor, arts developer and 10 years management of Arts Council England during the unprecedented transformation of the North East, Mark will work with clients to identify how to create greater value from their activity – combining thinking and practice. Thinking Practice provides consultancy support, alongside information, development and coaching services. It will work to tender and also work with clients to design projects that will lead to improvement in their work.
