About This is Life Chicago
"This is Life" is a nonprofit organization that grants Chicago youth the opportunity to showcase their talents on the big stage! Every year the show attracts hundreds of youth, their parents and supporters to experience Chicago's top talent. Fifteen youth performance acts showcase their talents through powerful Rapping, Singing, Dancing, Poetry and more, while community organizations share resources designed to enhance the quality of life of Chicago residents. FUN environment!! #ThisIsLife movement was founded in Chicago by mother-son duo Natalie Manning & Dorian "D.A." Adams at age 11. Creating a safe space for our neighborhood kids to share their talents and remain active was/is the main goal. The plan is to deter the community youth's attention from the negative thoughts and violence that seems to be happening all over the world. This is Life continues to encourage the youth to remain active by staying focused on mastering their crafts and sharing them with the world.
