About Thistle Education Services

We offer tailored advisory and support services using evidence-based interventions to enable vulnerable young people and SEND pupils to challenge, develop and enhance their social, emotional and mental well-being. Our services embed structured activities that nurture young people enabling them to gain the confidence required to become aspirational in their educational journey, for the purpose of social mobility. To this end, we aim to improve the social and cultural capital for young people who are most in need of extra support. Our success is attributed to expertise gained from over 30 years of working with children at various levels and stages of their physical, emotional, and psychological development, as well as having a clear understanding of the pertinent interventions that impact on their growth mindset. Our Vision: To build a bridge toward equitable education What We Do: Our dynamic and innovative services extend beyond the classroom to all settings that foster learning, ranging from working with the individual child to small as well as large groups of children, predominantly directed at closing the attainment gap. Our approach is holistic: our programs, activities and clubs are designed to positively impact on all aspects of a child’s life towards building capacity that enables them to thrive economically and socially. Our strategy is to create opportunities through an organised support system to those who need it the most to excel. Who We Work With: We work in partnership with individual schools, across Academy Trusts and with Local Authorities to implement improvement plans, and to inspire continuous success by building a network for sharing good practice. We focus on the areas of highest priority for improved pupil impact to maximise progress over time.
