The Thompson Policy Institute on Disability (TPI) works alongside the disability community to develop and improve equitable, accessible, and nurturing learning and community environments for all through integrated research, policy, and practice. TPI focuses its work on five initiatives: California Alliance for Inclusive Schooling (CAIS) - inclusioncalifornia.org CAIS is an intersegmental group of professionals dedicated to the development of inclusive schools for all students. The mission is to support, unify and promote efforts to increase inclusive schooling in California. Transition CA - transitionca.org The mission of the transition initiative is to promote and support successful transition to employment, independent living and quality life for individuals with disabilities, including those with significant disabilities. California Educator Preparation Innovation Collaborative (CalEPIC) - chapman.edu/tpi-calepic CalEPIC focuses on capacity building for technical assistance for Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs) and their PK-12 partners. The Collaborative strives to improve the quality of teacher preparation, and scale and sustain high-quality educator preparation programs.
