This was a joint venture between the Jahre group in Sandefjord and Wallem Shipmanagement Ltd., Hong Kong. A merger between the two major Sandeford shipping companies Jahre Group and Thor Dahl Shipping AS took place in 1996. In 2014 the Company changed name to Thor Dahl Shipmanagement AS became wholly owned (100%) by Thor Dahl Management AS. When established the Company provided technical management to the Jahre group of companies, but has since expanded and is now providing technical management, accounting services as well as operational services for various types of dry-cargo ships, including container vessels.
