About Thoroughbred Placement Resources, Inc
Thoroughbred Placement Resources, Inc. (TPR) is a nonprofit volunteer oriented organization that works to improve the lives of Thoroughbred racehorses, both active and retired. TPR provides training and rehabilitation to displaced horses while educating the public through the development of Breed Ambassadors. Through retraining, rehabilitation, and rescue, each horse becomes an example of the majesty and wonder of the Thoroughbred breed. We are an evolving and passionate organization that seeks volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of horses who need them! Kimberly Godwin Clark, President/Executive Director of TPR has near three decades worth of experience caring, racing, and placing thoroughbreds. She is the head trainer at Leighton Farm, home of TPR, and works with top Olympic trainers to provide the best assessment of each horse’s unique talents. She then develops a solid foundation both mentally and physically to give each horse the best chance at a successful and happy future in a loving forever home. As a nonprofit, TPR is built and maintained by our essential volunteers. Our volunteers have a great deal of passion for animals and take their duties seriously. From feeding and turning out, to helping at shows, they take part in the success of each horse. TPR needs volunteers to assist outside of on farm work in areas such as development, social media, and grant writing. We appreciate all diverse talents. TPR is currently developing the Hero Horses program. It seeks to empower veterans and their families by including them in the success of each horse the organization saves. We continue to honor our service members and veterans by giving them a sanctuary for healing and learning. The farm is a safe place for veterans to come and find peace. TPR welcomes veterans and military families to become a part of this great program and community.
