About Threefold Sustainability

Threefold is a sustainability and human rights advisory service led by Milka Pietikäinen and Annette Fergusson, two senior executives with over 30 years of combined practical experience leading, creating and implementing sustainability and human rights programmes inside companies. 1. We support organisations to develop their overall sustainability approach and strategy for the first time or when they are looking for a step change and update to an existing strategy. This includes carrying out double materiality assessments. 2. We conduct human rights impact assessments, due diligence and gap analyses; design due diligence and risk management processes; provide training at all levels; and support with stakeholder and issues management. These services can help companies to prepare for and respond to regulations including the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and modern slavery legislation across the globe. We also offer deep-dives into digital rights, child rights and labour rights in the supply chain. 3. We provide flexible support to busy sustainability leaders and their teams, acting as trusted advisors and sounding boards at challenging and critical moments; helping to build leadership buy-in; providing insights and advice relating to new regulatory requirements or issues; and importantly driving change and turning strategy and policy into practical action.
