About Thrive Hong Kong Charitable Limited
Thrive Hong Kong was co-founded by Polly Chan and Lilian Sze, the 3rd time children education charity partners. We are currently in the process of obtaining the Chapter 88 Tax exemption status from the IRD. With our prior 2 charity experience, together with a team of committed team members, 1000+ int'l volunteers including our prior program alumni, we had inspired and empowered 500+ needy children in Hong Kong (2009 to 2017) to shine with enhanced self-confidence, widened exposure & increased social connectedness. End of 2018, with the relentless encouragements from a group of long-term volunteers (some had supported us since 2011) and our prior program alumni, we have set up Thrive Hong Kong with the following mission. Our Vision: To inspire and empower our needy next generation with enhanced self-confidence, a positive mind-set and a giving-back attitude. Our Beneficiaries + Needy children aged 10 to 12 (studying at Primary 5 & 6) & their families. + Alumni from our previous children education charities. Our Program Characteristics: + Motivation-directed lesson design + Life skills learning + Eye opening exposure + Self-directed experiential learning + Facilitation by international volunteers Our Lesson Focus: Our 2-year program with 50 lessons will cover 16 themes on career and personal development. Themes include: Astronomy, Art, Athlete, Aviation, Magic, Medical, Science and etc. Our Inspiration: Our program is modeled on IMC Weekendschool (www.imcweekendschool.nl) in the Netherlands, an UN children education awardee.
