Mehr Karamat, M.D. PMH-C Dr. Karamat was born and raised in California and trained in the Midwest at the Hennepin-Regions Psychiatry training program in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. Since she graduated from residency in 2015, she has practiced in both states and has served as a faculty member at psychiatry residency programs at both her training institution, Hennepin County Medical Center in MN as well as at UCLA-Kern Medical Center in CA before venturing out into private practice with a special focus on women’s mental health. She has expanded on her interest in women’s mental health that started by focused training and rotations during residency by completing the Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International. She has also completed the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program (PPTP) through the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (MPSI) and she uses this training and knowledge in her approach to both evaluation and treatment. Dr. Ansar Malik is a board certified psychiatrist who graduated from the UCLA-Kern Medical Psychiatry Residency Training Program. He has been in private practice since he graduated from residency and specializes in treating patients ages 18-65 with varied psychiatric diagnoses including, but not limited to Depressive disorders, Bipolar disorders, Anxiety disorders (GAD, OCD, Panic disorder, Social anxiety and PTSD), as well as ADHD, Psychotic disorders (Schizophrenia/Schizoaffective disorder) and varied neuro-cognitive disorders.
