Rob Charlwood founded Throttle DownUnder as a passion project that has evolved through the connections he forms with other motorcycle and car enthusiasts. His interests lie not only in the beautiful mechanics and designs of these machines, but in the stories of the people who dedicate their lives to building and collecting them. After 28 years as a commercial skipper in the maritime world, his passion for all things with wheels started out like any other, attending film club drives in his Mazda-5. It wasn't long before Automotive companies, sensing his ability to showcase something special, were reaching out to Rob to conduct reviews of their cars. After receiving more requests and sensing a need for an accessible place to share and celebrate these stories, "Throttle DownUnder was born". Rob's mission to create a community of people sharing common interests in automotives has connected people from all over Australia. The Throttle DownUnder brand has become a place where people from all walks of life can come together to share their experiences, hobby's, skills, projects and above all passions.
