Throwboy is a plush toy and entertainment brand that specializes in unique, premium throw pillows inspired by Internet culture. The company was founded in 2007 by Roberto Hoyos after he handmade computer icon shaped pillows that went viral online. Throwboy has seen rapid growth with its Emoji Pillows® product line now sold in over 1,000 brick and mortar stores worldwide including Bloomingdale’s and Zumiez. In 2017, the company launched a pillow line with PepsiCo, joining their hugely successful #SayItWithPepsi campaign. Expanding their line to their own IP, Throwboy launched Pillow Fighters, a new product line based on its original characters. Introduced in their comic series, the Pillow Fighters are a fun, feisty superhero team with their own personalities. There’s Bimmy, the leader and martial arts guru with an attitude. Qwerty the brainy tech-head with all the answers. And Jimothy, the dopey but lovable one who’s always ready to help. This soft action figure toy line is available on Throwboy.com and in retail stores. In addition to its own original characters Bimmy, Qwerty & Jimothy; Throwboy is expanding Pillow Fighters to familiar licensed characters including The Three Stooges, Grumpy Cat and others.
