Founded in 1984 Townsend is one of the orthopedic industry's most respected manufacturers of ligament and OA knee braces, specialty lower extremity orthoses and rehabilitation mobility devices. 2016 - January 2016 Thuasne became an orthopaedic medical device multi-specialist in the United States acquiring Quinn Medical, who make the universal sized spine brace - The Sleeq. October 2016 - Thuasne acquire Orthotic Composites Ltd, who produce and market a range of ankle orthoses made from carbon materials.
