Thumbs Up 30 is a movement founded on helping others in need. The platform was founded by Chuck Decker and the Triple Decker’s, his daughters, Abby, Tedi and Caitlyn, to “give back to what has been given to them—LIFE.” It is dedicated to the memory of Chuck’s deceased parents Ellen and Frank Decker. Thumbs Up 30 is a spiritual concept based on complete physical and mental health, harmony with your mind, body, and spirit, keeping your body strong, your mind sharp, and your spirit full of life and love. The inspiration behind the name comes from Chuck’s own challenges in life, including lifesaving open heart surgery in 2022, in the middle of the Covid pandemic. The amazing, smart, caring and compassionate nurses, doctors and staff kept a distance a majority of the time to limited Covid exposures to Chuck and themselves. To communicate, Chuck always gave the thumbs up from a distance, inspiring the Thumbs Up 30 inspirational name. The 30 is also meaningful. It was Chuck’s football number and represents the notion that much good can come from 30 minutes a day. By investing just 30 minutes of doing good, you can create a ripple effect that can change lives. Thumbs Up 30 is a simple concept of Thumbs Up 30 team, the locker room, THE BROTHERHOOD and THE SISTERHOOD of like-minded people just lending a hand, spreading love and having compassion to those in need. The Thumbs Up 30 movement promotes the basics of life and getting back to blocking and tackling. It’s about giving back, reaching out a hand, giving a thumbs up, a smile, and passing on the message of hope, love and compassion. It’s the ripple effect of a wave. All Thumbs Up 30 asks in return is to pass the message on and grow the locker room. The goal is 250,000 friends on social media, ready to take the field, ‘Put me in, coach. I am ready to play today! Look at me, I can be a Thumbs Up 30 all-star.’
