I was crouched low to the ground silently sending up a prayer to whatever gods would hear me as water soaked through my rain gear, mixing with the hot tears that streamed down my face. Lightening skittered above me, striking nearby rock faces and illuminating the dark sky. It was hard to believe that the day had been sunny and clear before the telltale puffy clouds rolled in and stole the show. The thunder was deafening and the time between flash to crash was almost immediate. A year prior, I had found myself in a similar situation the day I also learned of someone in my outdoor community's passing from a lightning strike. I asked myself, "If I were to be struck by lightning now and it was all over in a flash, what would I regret not doing?" The answer was clear: I had always wanted to be an artist. And in this moment of life or death, it seemed pretty silly that I hadn't pursued that dream sooner. Thundercloud Creative is proof that our biggest regrets come from the things we don't do.
