About TICA-ACAD
TICA - the Thermal Insulation Contractors Association - was formed in 1959 with the intention of setting and raising standards in the industrial, thermal insulation industry across the UK. The not-for-profit trade association exists to promote its members - and their interests - as well as promoting the idea that correctly applied thermal insulation saves energy, reduces costs for clients and lessens the carbon dioxide emissions, which contribute to climate change. TICA's asbestos division ACAD - the Asbestos Control and Abatement Division - followed in 1994. It celebrates 20 years of leadership in the UK asbestos industry this summer. ACAD is a not-for-profit trade association aimed at setting and raising standards in the UK asbestos industry. Services include information, advice, support and advocacy on behalf of members as well as the provision of top class asbestos training.
