Founded in 1991, the company’s longevity can be attributed to solving two common problems –leaky shaft seals and mainsails that are difficult to raise and lower single-handedly. ABS-approved, Tides Marine Self Aligning SureSeal® shaft seals are widely recognized as the industry standard. The SureSeal is connected to the vessel's stern tube using an articulating, single-convolution hose. The hose design automatically positions the SureSeal® the correct operating distance from the stern tube. No measurements are required. The SureSeal® design incorporates a removable front cap, which improves access to the lip seal. A worn lip seal can be replaced, even while the vessel is in the water. The Tides Marine Sail Track & Slide System is a high performance, low friction mainsail luff track and slide system built to handle the increased loads and demands of today's full or partially battened, large roach and high aspect mainsails. Tides is also a leading supplier of durable, water-tight and abrasion-resistant bearing products that eliminate metal-on-metal contact and the associated problems of abrasion, electrolysis and corrosion. Tides Marine also distributes MATE Horns, Pumps and Rub Rail, Super Stainless Marine Grade Stainless Steel Cleaner.
