About Tilsley Architects

Tilsley & Associates was formed in 1991 with the intent of excelling in the Art & Practice of Architecture. This goal drives us to excel in all aspects of the profession in an effort to better serve our clients. The underlying principles, which form the basis for Tilsley Architects’ work, come from the basic understanding that Architecture must satisfy the physical, emotional and intellectual needs of its users. This is done by listening to our clients and comprehending the essence of their needs in order to generate imaginative solutions. Our philosophy has its roots in the established principles of Architecture. Those which give a strong sense of place appropriately respecting its context. We attempt to make buildings that work on many different levels and are inventive in their execution. In this sense we do not try to mimic past styles but instead seek reinterpretations. This philosophy is consistently applied to all aspects of each project, from land planning to construction details and has led to many successful design solutions. Tilsley Architects has worked on a variety of projects in the past, including: Corporate office buildings, Training centers, Clubhouses, Municipal Buildings, Restaurants, Distribution centers, Athletic facilities, Condominiums, Schools, Churches, Historic Renovation, Industrial Facilities and Urban infill projects. We feel this experience gives us the ability to handle many new design challenges.
