Timber Rock Lodge is close enough to visit but far enough to leave the rest of the world behind. We are located only an hour’s drive north of Knoxville, Tennessee, on the Upper Cumberland Plateau, situated in a 60-acre woodland setting complete with trails to explore and night skies to wonder at. Come stay or chose to host your special event with us. Or both! Beauty that lies in the wooded trails, rocky cliffs and tumbling waters of the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area and the people who live nearby. Come explore by foot, horseback or kayak. And as the times have changed, so has our ability to enjoy more of the surrounding area such as the former coal mining and logging roads that are now used for thrilling adventures with ATVs exploring deep into the hills and atop the plateau for a rush of adrenaline and magnificent views. How did it begin? It started when we decided to go back to East Tennessee to an area where Michelle grew up. When we first walked through the abandoned halls and rooms of the former design and world sales headquarter offices of Jim Barna Log Home Systems, we knew it was something special. We are renovating and converting it into a working inn and event space we now call Timber Rock Lodge. This unique building showcases the innovations and high quality of the designs of Jim Barna's company as it grew to be one of the world's largest builders of luxury log homes. Come see for yourself!
