Beginning operations in 1991, Timport Specialised Timber Products has experienced substantial growth in the past 8 years under the new ownership of Bruce McInnes and Danny Meredith. With over 50 years combined experience in timber wholesale, including extensive experience in timber imports and production facilities. The business is now positioned to service all the market needs for any specialist job lot, or short run requirements. Timport has evolved to become a one-stop-shop for an extensive range of local and imported species (including Merbau/Kwila, Rosewood, Vitex, Radiata, Hoop pine, Blackbutt, Spotted Gum, American White oak, Tasmanian Oak, Victorian Ash, Western Red Cedar, Oregon, and many others). Our onsite machining facilities enable us to custom produce a wide range of products to suit the merchants needs as they arise. Job lots from as little as 1 piece through to the largest of projects can be supplied without the need for the merchant to hold large volumes of stock. Our product range includes large feature posts, veranda posts, handrail, exposed beams, stair material, screening, cladding, decking, window, and door sills. Internal uses include flooring, stairs, handrail, architraves and skirting, door jambs, panelling and laminated bench tops.
