Timucua's mission is to inspire you with engaging experiences of the arts. Timucua is a special place, not just a venue for concerts, but - literally - a family home with a unique and inviting atmosphere where world-class performances inspire global audiences. Founders Benoit Glazer and Élaine Corriveau believe that the Arts belong to everyone, that art and music represent the highest level of human expression that is to be enjoyed in the most intimate venue possible. At every Timucua concert, artist and audience meet on an equal playing field, conducive to the risk-taking essential for creativity and innovation. Timucua's accessible and intimate atmosphere allows the partnership of established and emerging artists with local and global audiences in the creation of a compelling communal experience combining music, visual art, food, and friendship. Timucua is Central Florida’s home for innovative programming by leading composers and improvisers. MacArthur Fellows, Pulitzer and Grammy Winners, and legendary artists whose work defies categorization have all graced the Timucua stage. Concert programming at Timucua is comprised of distinct series: Classical, Jazz, Latin/Folk/World,Theater/Film/Poetry, and Community. Each series features a mix of world-renowned and local artists. One of the Timucua Arts Foundation’s most exciting and distinctive projects is its ensemble-in-residence, Alterity Chamber Orchestra, which performs demanding works by acclaimed living composers at the forefront of their field.
