About Tinkoffsport A/S - Tinkoff Saxo
Founded over ten years ago by 1996 Tour de France winner Bjarne Riis, Riis Cycling A/S is the parent company of Team Saxo-Tinkoff, a professional cycling team participating in UCI World Tour. After racing as Team CSC for eight years, Riis Cycling became Team Saxo Bank at the beginning of 2009 and from 2011 Saxo Bank-SunGard. Today our two co-title sponsors Saxo Bank and Tinkoff Bank is behind the 2013 name, Team Saxo-Tinkoff. From the 2014 season, Oleg Tinkoff took over the ownership of the team changing the name to Tinkoff-Saxo. Our team has been ranked #1 in the World four times over the last decade. We are an international company with around 70 employees from 14 different countries. In 2013, our team will have over 265 race days, in 16 countries across 4 continents; a clear expression of how global professional cycling truly is. Our team includes national, World and Olympic champions. Featuring amongst others Alberto Contador, Roman Kreuziger, Nicolas Roche, Michael Rogers and Matti Breschel as one of seven Danes. Our structure, professionalism, and the quality of our individuals all contribute to the results we achieve. We have based our team on values, stressing the importance of teamwork, loyalty, commitment, respect and communication.
