About Tiny Hands of Hope
Tiny Hands of Hope Society is a non-profit organization that began in May 2013. Formed by a small group of people whose lives had each been touched by the loss of a child, our mission is to work within our community of Grande Prairie, Alberta to help families who have suffered from all types of infant loss. This includes pregnancy loss, neonatal loss, stillbirth, SIDs and infant death up to the age of 24 months. We are directed by a devoted group of volunteers with a passion to for spreading awareness and helping others during their time of need and grieving. Our Work We are dedicated to providing centralized bereavement group support resources to those who need them, available bereavement materials to families, raise Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness in the community and help in standardizing child loss bereavement packages for the local hospital. Through our fundraising efforts we have purchased much needed equipment for families experiencing loss as well as those who are pregnant after previous losses. Annually, we hold a memorial event called the Walk to Remember as an opportunity for families and friends to come together to honor and celebrate the little lives that have touched their hearts. We also hold an annual gala as our primary fundraising endeavor.
