About Titanium Rib Foundation

The Titanium Rib Foundation was established in 2005 to provide an array of services to children diagnosed with Thoracic Insufficiency Syndrome (TIS). Children with TIS usually endure a range of surgery to implant the Titanium Rib, expand them, then finally remove. An average TIS child will have somewhere between 35-45 surgeries between the ages of 1 and 15. This groundbreaking surgery was developed in San Antonio and the San Antonio area continues to be the leader in treatment of TIS. Our Foundation serves children nationwide.
