We get the right ideas into the hands of the right people. We have emerged to serve a market segment of book buyers who support the struggles for environmental and social justice, and freedom of religion. Genre is not a consideration. We're willing to look at manuscripts from just about any category: non-fiction, poetry, fiction, and... Our focus is on finding, in the manuscripts we receive, the values that our readers honor. That having been said, we may consider works that fall outside of the preferences of our primary market--if they strongly engage our attention. And hey y'all, we're open now for submissions! In a day when self-publishing is so accessible, why should an author choose to contract with us? In a word, Service! We provide high quality developmental editing and the talent of an in-house artist for the cover design, as well as copy editing and proofreading, And, furthermore, we stand squarely between our writers and--what is for many people--the horror of having to do their own file conversion. We love marketing for our authors. Our strategy is based on the principles of grassroots activism, and our tactics are edgy and fun. We are small, and so we're able to tailor our approach according to what is appropriate to each individual work that we're promoting. While we do encourage our authors to promote their own work to the best of their ability, we do not contractually obligate them to do book tours or engage in any form of promotions or publicity that they may not feel comfortable doing. A writer doesn't have to be a salesperson to work with us. We treat our authors as financial partners, and give them due respect as the cultural leaders that they are. We have fun and we love what we're doing, so we think people find us fun to work with, too. Our business model includes a commitment to take the moral high ground, maintaining fair and equitable relationships with all our stakeholders, and setting the standard for other enterprises to follow.
