About TLMoto
We are a group of engineering students from Instituto Superior Técnico whose main objective is to design, build and run with a sports motorcycle at MotoStudent, an international university competition. We are the only Portuguese team in this competition that runs with an electric motorcycle. MotoStudent is an engineering competition in which different teams of university students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in the development of a sports motorcycle. The project is evaluated over several stages and culminates in the Final Event in Aragon, Spain, where the prototypes are tested. We participated for the first time in this competition at MotoStudent 2013-2014, at a time when there was only the combustion category. With the begining of the electric category, the team accepted the challenge of producing a 100% electric prototype, with which we competed in MotoStudent 2017-2018. We have already built three prototypes: TLM01i, our combustion prototype, TLM02e, the first electric prototype, and TLM03e. At the moment our team is building our third electric prototype that will compete at MotoStudent 2023. We also used to compete in the National Speed Championship that takes place in Portugal.
