Every great company started with a first step. With Tomboy Tools, it was probably more a stroke of a hammer than a step but it had the same effect. Mary Tatum and Janet Rickstrew are the Co-Founders of Tomboy Tools and their goal is to have fun teaching women that working with tools is not rocket science. They chose the Party Plan Business Model (think Tupperware or The Pampered Chef) because women love the hands-on education that is provided during a Tool Party. With the growing trend of female home ownership (2-1 over men), Tomboy Tools is well positioned to make a significant impact on the way women maintain their homes. They believe if women just learn the basics they can save thousands of dollars completing the “to do” list on their own. And let’s face it, in today’s economy, every dollar counts. Tomboy Tools, Inc. is the only provider of hands-on education and high-quality tools for women. Tomboy Tools is an educational organization and direct seller of ergonomically designed hand and power tools. Tomboy Tools are for sale individually, in tool combos and in specialty kits for projects such as tiling, painting, drywall and caulking.
