About Toolbox Film

Kathleen “Bo” Bobak and Eric Wood formed Toolbox Film in 2010. Both are disciplined filmmakers who each bring 25+ years of experience to the table. The primary mission of Toolbox is to develop and produce compelling independent feature films. As consultants they bring to the table a deep understanding of every phase of the filmmaking process from contracting a writer to distributing dividends. Advances in technology are challenging traditional approaches to filmmaking, and Bo and Eric bring a needed balance to any independent project they undertake. Bo‘s notable credits include: Something to Talk About, The Last of the Mohicans, The Fugitive, Nell, Arlington Road, A Time to Kill, Sommersby and Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken. She also worked on Steven Spielberg's Minority Report. She has been a part of some of the best Assistant Director teams ever assembled, and in 1997 Bo earned a Director’s Guild Award for her work as 2nd Unit Director and 2nd Assistant Director under James Cameron on the Academy Award winning Titanic. Bo recently directed Red Dirt Rising, a story of the origins of NASCAR, which is completed and is under contract for release and distribution in 2011. Eric‘s notable credits include: The New Adventures of Pipi Longstocking, Brenda Starr, or Major League, Shining Through, The Innocent, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Schindler’s List. Writers of all levels appreciate Eric’s clear command of story theory, structure, character, and dialog.
