About Toronto Green Community
The Toronto Green Community is a grassroots, charitable organisation established in 1995. Through our initiatives, we address many urban environmental issues: we enhance biodiversity, expand urban greening, foster appreciation and conservation of water, and reduce waste. This is accomplished by focusing on the education and engagement of diverse communities throughout Toronto, aiming towards behavioural change for a healthy, sustainable planet for all! Our mission is to engage Torontonians in environmental initiatives where we live, work and play. Our vision is for people to live in sustainable communities with: - clean air and water, - access to local, organic food, - abundant green spaces - and minimal waste.
