About Total Care Health Services
Welcome to Total Care Health Services. Our Goal "to provide a Service of Excellence" Registered Nurses and Homecare Support Workers providing care seven days a week and if necessary visit on the same day as referral. AIMS: •A comprehensive nursing/homecare service of excellence •To aid recovery from recent illness or effects of long term illness/disability •To rehabilitate clients to their optimal functional state •To provide such cares to ensure client remains in their own residence •To collaborate with other service providers to enable the client to be restored to their optimal health •To promote client/family/whanau education towards self care •To provide a culturally competent service •Seek advice of suitable cultural advisors to ensure service is appropriately supportive •To ensure that services, facilities and procedures maximize client safety, privacy and dignity •Respond appropriately to client's questions, requests and problems •To practice nursing in a manner that respects the boundaries of a professional relationship with the client We are enthusiastic to incorporate many health providers to achieve our ultimate aim and broaden our vision/cohesion and coordination of services, continuity of care for the clients in the community meeting their specific cultural and social needs and enhancing the level of care. We believe that ongoing professional education and the sharing of education, which builds on the knowledge base, is paramount. Fostering good relationships between the various services is a priority.
