Established in 2010, The Great Northern Mud Run is now one of the UK's BIGGEST obstacle course races. Accept the challenge and tackle up to 25 gruelling obstacles including FIRE, ICE and MUD from the choice of 4 distances; 12K, 6K, Ultra and Junior Warrior (3K). Total Warrior events are timed, so participants can set themselves a target or simply set out to record a faster time than a friend, rival (or both). The courses are designed so they can be completed by fit individuals without enlisting the help of fellow Warriors. That’s not to say that help won’t be at hand if it’s required, however. Participants regularly report that the support and camaraderie between fellow Warriors on the course is one of the most uplifting and rewarding elements of the whole event experience. Total Warrior obstacles are carefully designed and built by hand on each site to ensure each obstacle is as safe, challenging and fun as it can be. The welfare of participants, staff, and volunteers is paramount and all TW obstacles adhere to strict health and safety requirements and structural engineers sign off all building work. The layout of each course is painstakingly considered to maximise enjoyment and ensure a good flow of people around the course, without any frustrating queues forming at the approach to each obstacle. It’s not just about the obstacles – they are but one (very important) element of what makes Total Warrior courses the best around. The event venues are vitally important and TW spends months visiting sites before selecting the right location that will offer the greatest course and provide the best all-round event experience. TW is proud to work in partnership with several charities and to facilitate charitable-giving through participation in its events.
